felicitous
happiness is a rare thing. many believe that they experience it daily but in reality we bring ourselves to accept events and become content, which we later process as "happiness." contentment is a more frequently encountered emotion.
but happiness? oh, true happiness is an elated feeling. a feeling that makes you believe anything is possible. makes you feel like you're soaring. you feel light hearted and it is as if time stops.
JUST STOPS.
right then and there the elated joy, the happiness, brings time to a sudden halt.
---- but this happiness... it's fleeting.
its is gone as quickly as it came. you base your standards off of that happiness. BUT HOW DO CAN YOU FIND IT AGAIN? you frantically search for it in drugs, alcohol, relationships, religion, ANYTHING. but happiness is evasive, ellusive; constantly slipping through your grasps.
so you can ask why people would rather lack this feeling all together, and it makes sense. people would rather miss out on happiness than spend their entire life chasing a fleeting feeling.
but the only thing is, happiness always seems to find you.
